Project Objective
The project aims to increase the competitiveness of Veritas ESCO by boosting the market placement of its proprietary LED lights in the public lighting reconstruction/modernization and energy services (ESCO) sectors in Croatia, as well as easing access to international markets. This will be achieved through testing and certification of Veritas ESCO’s road and street LED lights to ensure quality, safety, reliability, and compliance with all applicable EU and other relevant standards necessary for product placement in the EU and other international markets. The project will test and certify eight types of Veritas lights, including three new models not yet launched and a retrofit kit.
Testing and certification of Veritas ESCO’s lights under this project include nine types of LED road and street lights already on the market that require additional testing and certification, as well as three entirely new models that have yet to be marketed. These require testing and certification for placement, including a retrofit kit for installation in existing housing on-site.
Models for Certification
- LUNA – Models S, M, and L
- ANDROMEDA – Models S, M, L, and XL
- VEGA – Models Vega L and Vega T
- KALIOPE – Models Kaliope S and Kaliope U
- ERATO
- ERATO RETROFIT KIT
These tests and certifications are critical project outcomes, essential for product placement in the EU and other markets. According to European regulations, mandatory prerequisites for marketing LED lights include LVD, EMC, and RoHS testing and obtaining the associated certifications from accredited laboratories recognized in the EU. Additional certifications, such as impact resistance (IK) and ENEC licensing, are required by EU market customers as proof of product quality, durability, and safety.
