Kloštar Ivanić is a settlement and the center of the municipality of the same name in northwestern Moslavina, located 4 km northeast of Ivanić-Grad. It lies at an elevation of 159 meters. The area of the municipality is 79.01 km².

The municipality of Kloštar Ivanić consists of 11 settlements: Kloštar Ivanić, Bešlinec, Čemernica Lonjska, Donja Obreška, Gornja Obreška, Križci, Lipovec Lonjski, Predavec, Sobočani, Stara Marča, and Šćapovec. According to the 2001 population census, the municipality has 5,899 inhabitants.
